Laz Cafe at Claygate

We are staying in the area seeing friends and just stumbled across this delightful little place, while looking for somewhere to have a coffee. (we don't really know the area). And what an absolute find! Delicious pastries and savoury bakes arranged on a very tempting counter. Everyone serving us was very smiley, the place is really chic, lovely tables and chairs, charming decor, and spotless. Wish I had the time to come back and sample more of the nice looking menu. Really nice atmosphere and a great place to chill for a while and have tea, coffee, and a lovely bite to eat. Oh yes and my Beetroot latte was served in such an eye catching, beautiful and tactile mug/cup... I wanted to own one!

This food is baked in-house so is very fresh and delicious. Great friendly service. One of our favourites places for breakfast or just a coffee.

This is a charming café with lovely staff! From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere and delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee and delicious smell of bourekas and cookies welcome you warmly. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your visit enjoyable. One of my absolute favourites is their menemen—a deliciously spiced scrambled egg dish, full of vibrant flavours and served piping hot, making it perfect for breakfast or brunch. You can truly taste the care and passion in every bite. Whether you're looking to catch up with friends, find a quiet corner to read or work, or simply savour a moment of calm, this café is the perfect place. Highly recommended—I can't wait for my next visit!

Laz is a wonderful cafe in the heart of Claygate village, delicious coffee and cakes! We recently used Laz to cater for our daughter’s christening, 30+ adults and 15+ children, they provided delicious salads, sandwiches, lemonade, and double chocolate cake! The quality is first class and very reasonable prices. Lovely staff and always a delightful atmosphere inside the cafe, too. Thank you Laz would recommend to anyone looking to use a caterer!

I had an amazing experience at Laz Cafe! We had come for a spa break on the way to claygate and came across this amazing cafe on the way! The pancakes with strawberries and blueberries were some of the best I've ever had—so fluffy and delicious. Everything felt homemade, and the carrot cake was definitely the best in town; the flavors were incredible and tasted super fresh. The owner mentioned she uses cinnamon from back home, and you can really taste the difference! I also loved the falafel, halloumi, spinach, and sweet chili wrap—it was fantastic! The staff and owner were super friendly, creating a great atmosphere. There was a lovely selection of pastries and bakery goodies! I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly Recommended⭐
